The Yamaha Trailering Tilt Motor Support has been designed to allow highway transport of your boat with the motor in a tilted position. The trailering support prevents the motor from returning to the vertical position and possible contact with the road surface. The Motor Support also prevents excessive loads, created by road surface conditions and from damaging the tilt assembly.
Note:
After installing the outboard trailering support(s), the outboard is tilted down until the trim rods start to retract. The Yamaha Outboard Trailering Supports can be customized for applications with restricted full tilt up angles due to interference with the boat or other components. A maximum of 1-_" may be removed from the overall length to permit installation of the trailering supports. Cut lines, in _" increments, are located on the trailering support for ease of cutting. When reducing the overall length, cut or grind off material to duplicate the original end taper, on the cut end, to allow proper function of the outboard trailering supports. Failure to taper the cut end will cause damage to the support and prevent proper support of the outboard.
Fitment:
Use one support for F115 - F250 four stroke and all 60 - 300HP two stroke models while traliering.For F300 - F350 models require two supports.They are quickly installed over the port trim rod on F115 - F250 four stroke and all 60 - 300HP two stroke models or both trim rods on the F300 - F350 V8 models.Trailering supports must be used on twin ram motors.
